    Please be aware that this system will not notify you if it falls offline (and it does so frequently), so it is basically completely useless as a security system. This should absolutely not be the case with a cloud based system.

    So if I plug in via USB a 1TB hard drive for instance, do I still need to pay the online subscription, or is that just needed to have video back ups on the cloud?

    This product is way to expensive for how good of a job it does. It lags constantly and motion and audio detection is a joke. Whenever it detects motion it quits after 10-20 seconds even if there is still motion. Audio is also a joke you can’t hear anything unless you are yelling. The sound of the actual camera is super loud as well when your looking back at a clip. The quality is more like 720 than 1080. Nest cams are much better and do constant recording and have a TRUE 1080p quality camera.

    You Fail to mention how to use a hard drive with USB or. About how Much is the Annul fee for on line storage, how long do the batteries usually last, is it indoor and outdoor, kinda poor review.
