Cyber Monday, the last day of the Black Friday sales weekend, may have originated from the US, but it’s becoming increasingly popular in the UK. After all, who doesn’t want to indulge in incredible discounts online on big-brands products?
As the day draws near, it’s a great time to suss out current prices, shortlist what you’re looking for, and get prepped for the best Apple deals.
In this article we outline how to make the most of the current Apple deals, but also share everything we know so far about Cyber Monday 2019.
When is Cyber Monday 2019?
Cyber Monday is next Monday, 2 December 2019. It falls on the Monday after US Thanksgiving, and of course, Black Friday. The deals have already started and they will continue across the weekend, through Cyber Monday and throughout the week after (often referred to as Cyber Week). Sales become more spread out every year, as retailers try to squeeze every possible drop out of the season.
What is Cyber Monday?
On Cyber Monday, retailers across the globe offer huge discounts to shoppers both online and in stores. Cyber Monday was given that name because it tended to be the busiest day of the year for online shopping.
It’s unusual to find a retailer or brand that doesn’t take part in Cyber Monday, and as the event gets more popular the deals become even more aggressive. Expect to see plenty of incredible bargains.
Will Apple join in with Cyber Monday 2019?
Yes, after a fashion. Apple kicked off a ‘shopping event’ on Black Friday and this will continue up to and including Cyber Monday 2019.
Read our guide to Apple’s Black Friday shopping event for the full details. But here’s the gist: instead of offering discounts on its products, Apple gives out free gift cards when you purchase selected products from the Apple Store.
Here’s what you stand to receive. To reiterate, this is not a reduction in the price, but the value of the gift card you get in addition, after paying full price for the product. It’s added at the checkout.
You may note from the above that Apple isn’t including purchases of new devices. The iPhone 11 generation, iPad 10.2in, Apple Watch Series 5, AirPods Pro and 16in MacBook Pro are not part of the promotion.
Thankfully, Apple isn’t the only place you’ll find deals on its products. Third-party retailers across the US, UK and beyond are offering deals on iPhones, iPads, Macs and more on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and we’ll be sharing the best bargains right here.
How to get best Cyber Monday deals
Spotting a good Cyber Monday deal takes a bit of work – at the very least, it’s a good idea to know the usual RRPs on the Apple device you’re interested in.
Of course, the RRPs depend on the configuration of the device. Apple conveniently charts configurations and starting prices on its products:
- MacBook and iMacs – see pricing differences across MacBook and iMac models based on screen size, processors, storage and more. You can choose up to two devices to compare side by side.
- iPads – compare capacities and prices across all iPads, including Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi and Cellular models
- iPhones – use the drop down on Apple’s site to compare configurations on up to three different iPhone models. Clicking through to an individual model will take you to the RRP.
- Apple Watch – see prices across all Series, both GPS and Cellular models.
- Apple TV – compare capacity and price across Apple TV against Apple TV 4K.

Amazon has a dedicated Cyber Monday deals page. Keep tabs on it as Cyber Monday draws near.
It’s a good idea to keep an eye on the competing retailers that offer Apple products, some of which include:

Best Apple deals
Here are the best Apple deals you can take advantage of right now, while we wait for Cyber Monday to arrive.
1. Apple AirPods with Charging Case (2019)
Now: Free with selected iPhone contracts
Vodafone is giving away the early-2019 AirPods with a standard charging case, which have an RRP of £159. The deal is available to anyone who buys an iPhone XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max on a Vodafone Unlimited data pay monthly plan.
If Vodafone’s contracts don’t appeal, you can bundle the early-2019 AirPods with an EE contract (click Apple, then your choice of device) for £14 a month for 11 months, or £20 a month with an upfront fee of £29 if you want the AirPods Pro.
2. Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm)
From: Currys PC World
Now: £299 (£130 off)
Certain models of last year’s (now discontinued) Apple Watch Series 4 now has £130 off at Currys, making it one of the cheapest ways to get your hands on the larger variant of the fourth-gen Watch.
3. Apple 16in MacBook Pro, 2.6GHz, 6-core, 512TB (2019)
Now: £2,159.10 (£239.90 off)
KRCS is already selling the 2019 16in MacBook Pro and they are already offering an excellent discount on the new standard models and configure to order models such as this one.
4. Parallels Desktop 15 for Mac
Now: £55.99 (15% off)
Parallels Desktop 15 for Mac is available at a discount of 15% for the Black Friday weekend. If you’re upgrading to version 15 the price has dropped from £39.99 to £31.99.
For more information read our Parallels Desktop 15 for Mac review, in which the software was awarded 4.5 stars out of 5.
5. Apple iPhone XR (SIM-free)
Now: £549 (£80 off)
Argos has knocked £80 off the iPhone XR for Black Friday (an offer that’s currently matched by Amazon, although some colour finishes have started to sell out). That’s a decent enough offer, but add in the fact that the £629 RRP is itself a reduction from the £749 that Apple was charging as recently as September 2019, and you’ll see that this is seriously good value.
6. Caldigit Tuff nano USB-C Portable SSD (512GB)
Now: £135.99 (£24 off with code BFRIDAY)
This is the fastest portable SSD drive we’ve ever tested – it reached nearly 1,000MB/s – and it’s built to handle the roughest environments, being IP67 certified and able to withstand drops up to 3M. The maker is offering 15% off if you enter the code BFRIDAY at checkout (in Step Four, below the delivery and payment methods). Read our CalDigit Tuff nano review for more information.
7. Apple 15in Macbook Pro, 2.2GHz six-core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB (2018)
Now: £1,899 (£450 off 2018 price)
Amazon is offering a big chunk off 2018’s entry-level 15in 2.2GHz MacBook Pro for Black Friday. It’s since been discontinued.
8. Apple iPad Pro 10.5in (2017, renewed)
Now: £384.99 (£144 off)
This is a great price on the Wi-Fi 10.5in iPad Pro. Note that it’s part of the generation before the current one, having launched in 2017 – the iPad Pro 10.5in is still a powerful device, though – and ‘renewed’ devices are Amazon’s equivalent of Apple’s refurbished line, which means it’s second-hand but fixed up and backed by a new guarantee.
9. Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm)
From: John Lewis
Now: £185 (£14 off)
With £14 off the relatively affordable RRP, this is a good saving on the smaller 38mm version of the Series 3. In fact, this is the cheapest you can buy it anywhere online right now.
10. Apple iPhone XS (SIM-free)
Now: £699 (£300 off)
11. Apple iPhone XR with 60GB data
Now: £29.99 upfront, £33 per month
The XR deals just keep getting better and better, as Vodafone neatly undercuts the O2 offer we were previously recommending. Admittedly you get only 60GB of data instead of 90GB, but you’re saving £144 over the course of the contract. Strongly recommended.
12. Apple HomePod (Refurbished)
From: Apple Refurbished Store
Now: £239 (£40 off)
It might not be a brand-new unit, but with a £40 discount, this is one of the better HomePod deals available at the moment. Don’t worry about the second-hand nature of the speaker either; Apple makes sure that each and every unit is up to scratch before shipping.
13. Apple iPhone 7 (SIM-free, 128GB)
Now: £429 (£120 off)
This is a decent saving (although the price has gone up by a tenner since 14 November, and may drop again); read our iPhone 7 review for advice on whether this 2016 handset is right for you.
We recommend that you go for the 128GB model linked above, but if you think you can manage with 32GB that’s available for £379.
14. Apple 27in iMac, 3.7GHz six-core, 5K Retina Display, 2TB Fusion Drive (2019)
From: Currys PC World
Now: £2,049 (£200 off)
Save money on the 2019 iMac with this deal from Currys PC World. It’s better than the firm’s advertised discount because this is the top-of-the-range £2,249 model.
If stock runs low, an identical deal is offered by Amazon.
15. Apple AirPods with Wireless Charging Case (early 2019)
Now: £159 (£40 off)
Amazon just pinches top deal from Laptops Direct, which has the AirPods for 99p more. This is a solid deal (Apple is still asking the full £199 for this model, which comes with the nicer wireless charging case), but be aware that AirPods Pro have since been launched.
16. Apple iPhone 11
Now: £49 upfront, £48 per month (With free Beats Solo 3 headphones or AirPods)
Pick up the latest iPhone from Three and get a free pair of Beats Solo 3 headphones or AirPods.
17. Apple iPhone 8 with 30GB data
Now: £30 per month
This is an excellent iPhone 8 deal. Alternatively, click on EE’s logo and pay £31 per month (plus £24 cashback), which is essentially the same thing.
18. Apple iPhone 11 Pro (64GB) with 75GB data
Now: £125 upfront, £58 per month
Pick up the new iPhone 11 Pro on contract with EE with a large amount of data. It’s pretty much a toss-up between this and O2’s even more generous 160GB contract, which is a pound a month more expensive (and very slightly more upfront, too), but we’d have thought 75GB should be enough for most. Click O2’s logo if you disagree.
19. Best iPhone 11 deals
Now: Contract & SIM-free
Don’t pay any more than you need to for Apple’s new iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max handsets.
20. Beats Solo3 Headphones
Now: £139 (44% off)
Get almost half off Beats Solo3 Wireless on-ear headphones (which we gave four stars). They’re available in a range of colours.
